Use a provider QR code and follow your booking

Understand what a Polimalk QR code opens, how a booking reference is used and why a queue position can change.

Updated ·

A provider's QR code is a quick way to open their Polimalk profile. It is useful when a provider displays a code at their premises or sends their profile link to a customer. Scanning a QR code does not automatically make a booking, charge a payment or guarantee a place in a queue.

Check the destination first

A Polimalk provider link should lead to the polimalk.com website. Read the provider's name and location after opening the profile so you know you have the right service. A sticker or a forwarded image can be replaced or shared incorrectly, so use the visible profile details rather than trusting the appearance of the code alone. If a profile is missing, the link may be incorrect or the listing may no longer be approved.

Choose how to open the profile

You can use the camera-based QR option in the app, open a provider link you received, or search for the provider by name. Camera access is requested when you choose the camera option. You can still use search or a link if you prefer not to grant camera access. Do not upload identity documents or payment information in an attempt to scan a provider code.

Keep the booking reference

After sending a request, open My bookings and retain its reference number. The provider uses that reference to distinguish your request from other customers' requests. If you contact them about timing or cancellation, include the reference and the service, but keep unrelated personal information out of the message. Check the accepted status before travelling to the service location.

Understand a changing queue

When queue information is available for a service, it reflects the bookings and status updates recorded by the provider. It is not a guaranteed arrival time. Work can take longer than expected, bookings can be cancelled and the provider may update a request after a conversation with the customer. Refresh the booking details and contact the provider if you need a firm answer about when to arrive.

Location remains a choice

The nearby-search option asks for device location when you select it. You can instead type a town or open a provider's published location link. A home-service booking may require the address of the visit; review that information in the booking form before submitting it. A QR profile link itself does not require you to share your current location.
